Epic Games tasked Mothership to support the Season 5 launch of Fortnite as well as the newly introduced battle pass through programmatic advertising.

The goal was to achieve awareness and user reactivation at competitive click prices while at the same time gathering learnings on Gen-Z user behaviour in the highly saturated German and French markets.

Approach

Using inhouse data Mothership designed a two-stage campaign specifically centered around trending teen interests, e-sports platforms and console gaming. Stage one was centered on gathering large volumes of Gen-Z audience data which was then used for remarketing and lookalike campaigns during stage two.
